How did you get into FM/ Accidental FM?
I had never considered it for a career. Once I started working for the School district, I aspired to be a Facilities Manager.
A highlight of your Facility or Operation
We are definitely proud of our energy saving efforts here at GBSD, we have been the energy star partners of the year 11 times. Now we are helping the City of Gresham reach their goals in energy savings.
One challenging experience in the Industry
You can’t imagine the things that we find on property. Once we had someone take two lazy boy style chairs and end tables, and put them on the roof of one of our schools, it was set up like a living room. We still can’t figure out how they got the furniture on the roof.
